Video Of The Week.
Chairlift - Met Before.
Two days late posting our weekly feature, we hope you can forgive us with this brilliant video. Chairlift collaborated with m ss ng p eces and released this fantastic interactive video for new single ‘Met Before’. Speaking to the Guardian this week, director Jordan Fish stated:
“Once a version is created, you can share it on Facebook or Twitter and repeat the process to create a multitude of different videos.”
Hats off to everyone involved, once again demonstrating that entertainment is now bottom up. Watch the video, after the jump.

Leeds four-piece Fun Adults are possibly one of the most intriguing new artists we’ve heard for a while. ‘Til Sleep’ is the only available track at the moment and it’s an incredibly salient debut. Imbued with a decadently monotonous rhythm and honey drenched vocals, it’s enough to waken the slumbering crocuses and hyacinths of Kirkstall Abbey and beyond.

Last week, members of Karma were finally able to watch a band they’ve championed incessantly for a while. When Gross Magic (along with Echo Lake) supported Real Estate it led to a week long contemplation of following them to Manchester for Now Wave’s gig at Trof Fallowfield. Sadly none of us attended, however, some research (stalking) into the event provided a very fruitful reward; SHINIES.
Shinies embody more abrasiveness than most bands of their ilk, though comparisons are there to be made with contemporaries. The lyrics connote a sense of belonging and wastefulness, which are buoyed by rich, delayed melodies. The rather abrupt ending serves as a ambivalent blank but we found it hard not to press play again.
Double A-Side, Shola / Pillow Talk will be released by Dirty Bingo. You can pre-order the 7” here.
